What is the proper way to hang a hammock chair from a wooden ceiling. I need it to hold around 225l

Once you decide where you want to hang the chair, locate the spot on the ceiling where you need the bolt to be secured. If it within a few inches of a ceiling joist (usually a 2 X 4 or 2 X 6 board that the ceiling is attached to), use a use a bolt with a hook or enclosed circle on the end and attach it to the ceiling joist. Either drill a hole through the entire joist and use a bolt with nut on the end, or use a bolt with a pointed screw end. If you're nowhere near a ceiling joist, you can span two joists, similar to how a light fixture is secured between two joists. You'll need a longer bolt to screw through the ceiling and the cross-board. Once secured (either method), hang the chair onto the bolt protruding from the ceiling.

Good luck
